What does the course include?

The Diploma programme aims to prepared you to work competently, safely and effectively with children aged 0-16 years. The course covers Early Child Development and addresses Special Educational Needs, Diversity and the Role of Family Within Varying Cultural Settings. This course prepares candidates to work in both professional and voluntary services for children and families. You will have 3 days in College with 2 days of placement.

How will I be assessed?
Four GCSEs Grade A-C including English. All students must provide satisfactory references and a valid Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure and POVA/POCA check (cost £42).
Where does it lead?
This course will lead you onto courses in Higher Education or into employment.
There is a 9% increase in childcare related jobs forecast in Greenwich between 2012 and 2017.
