What does the course include?

The AS qualification is taught in three units:
- Lifestyle, Transport, Genes & Health
- Development, Plants and the Environment
- Practical Biology & Research Skills
The A2 level qualification has the following three units:
- The natural Environment & Species Survival
- Energy, Exercise & Co-ordination
- Practical Biology & Research Skills

What do I need to get on this course?
You must have passed either Biology at grade C or Core and Additional Science with at least Grade BB at GCSE. You will also need English and Maths GCSE at grade B or better.
If you have equivalent qualifications to the above, you may be interviewed and will have to sit and pass various assessment tests in order to be accepted on to the course.
You will also be assessed for suitability when the course has run for four weeks.
We do not accept BTEC Level 2 qualifications as a route on to this course.
How will I be assessed?
By examination.

Degrees or careers in Biological Sciences, Medicine, Medical Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Public Health, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, Diet and Food Science, Sports Science or Forensic Science.
