About This CourseOSAT - On Site Assessment and Training This is an excellent opportunity for you as an experienced operative to gain an OSAT Level 2 NVQ Diploma in your chosen trade. The OSAT qualification will aid in the confirmation of your quality and competence in the workplace. You will also gain a greater awareness of the health and safety issues related to site work. The important aspect of this type of qualification is that there is no requirement to attend College as assessment is carried out in the workplace. Topics you may study: - Trowel Occupations (Bricklaying) - Site Carpentry - Plastering - Painting and Decorating How will I be assessed? Assessment is carried out on site where you will deal with your own personal assessor. A portfolio of evidence will need to be produced and this will include: - recorded conversations - observations of your own work - conversations with work colleagues and your employer - statements from clients.
Additional NotesIs there anything else I should know? You will be required to prove that you have continuous and ongoing employment in your chosen trade for at least the duration of the course - a minimum of 12 weeks.
Entry CriteriaYou will be required to demonstrate to your assessor that you are currently working in the trade you have chosen and undertake an initial assessment.
Progression DetailsOn completion of your Level 2 NVQ you will be able to progress on to the Level 3 advanced qualification. Depending on your skills and experience, on completion of the Level 3 qualification you may wish to enrol on higher level courses such as HNC construction
