Health and Safety - First Aid Essentials

Anyone who would like to know more about first aid in the workplace. All companies require an 'appointed person' to manage first aid incidents and this course provides the information suitable for the 'appointed person'. By the end of the training you will be able to:
• Understand the HSE requirements related to first aid at work
• Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
• Provide initial first aid in the case of wounds, bleeding, choking and other typical first aid situations
• Provide cardio pulmonary resuscitation
• Contact the emergency services and provide the appropriate information

This course is not a full a first aid at work course. For companies requiring a full first aider, as opposed to an appointed person, a full First Aid at Work course is available as a closed course.
