Description
Philosophy literally means ‘the love of wisdom’ and during the course students will consider where we gain knowledge from, how the mind organises experience, the concept of God and how we perceive the world.
Course content
There are four units of study. You will study two of these in the first year for AS assessment and the remaining two in the second year for a full GCSE A Level.

- Philosophy of Mind
Progression
Philosophy will not lead you directly into a career, but the thought processes developed can be useful in: media, journalism and teaching further study in philosophy at university
