AssistKD's Systems Development Essentials course is aimed at both existing and prospective systems developers as well as Business Analysts wishing to gain an overview of the issues and concepts involved in developing quality solutions that satisfy business requirements in an Agile environment. The course studies a number of systems development life cycles and the situations in which they are most appropriate before focusing in detail on an Agile approach.

- considering other techniques that support iterative development, such as facilitated workshops, scenarios and hothousing
Assessment and accreditation
This course prepares participants for the BCS Systems Development Essentials examination, which is held on the final day of the course. The examination is open-book and tests the participant's application of Systems Development techniques on business scenarios. This certificate contributes to the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, as shown below:This course is also a core module of the BCS International Diploma in Solutions Development. In addition to covering the full BCS syllabus, this course is approved as consistent with the IIBA BABoK version 2.0 and supports SFIA skills PROG, level 5.
